The mission of DailyMedia is to become the premiere Internet LOHAS media lifestyle company. The Company has developed a three-tiered business strategy in order to capitalize on the LOHAS market potential, leverage the Company's existing user base, and diversify it's income potential.
The founding team of Organic-To-Go got together and decided that the timing and opportunity was right to build a company focused on the following principles:
- The first tier is the DailyOM Destination Website and Newsletter which consists of the popular DailyOM Daily Ritual Email Newsletter and DailyOM Website.
- The second tier is the om:click advertising network which is a network of over 200 healthy lifestyle websites that the Company sells advertising on.
- And the third tier is a suite of E-Commerce products and services that will be sold directly to consumers. The Company’s primary business focus is selling advertising & sponsorship opportunities on its Internet media properties to companies that market products & services to LOHAS Consumers (see below.) Additionally, the Company will be focusing on developing products and services to sell directly to the same LOHAS audience. Additionally, the Company intends to leverage its brands, content and customer base to cross-promote and extend its franchise throughout various off-line media properties.
The Company's core product is the DailyOM Destination Website and Newsletter. The Company started the first DailyOM Newsletter in 2004 and is now one of the most popular daily ritual email newsletters on the Internet. The DailyOM Newsletter is a free daily email newsletter and features inspirational thoughts for a happy, healthy and fulfilling day. Previously, the Company had focused primarily on the newsletter with the website as only a supportive marketing tool to attract subscribers to the newsletters. The Company now intends to leverage the existing user base and broaden the website offering to accommodate the opportunity of a more complete LOHAS destination portal experience. The website offering will be expanded to include a significant amount of additional content (including well-known writers), technology to allow users to contribute their own content, and increased navigation, technology and usability to give LOHAS consumers a place to find inspirational & conscious content and meet other like minded individuals by creating an on-line community destination.
The om:click advertising network is a network of over 200 healthy lifestyle websites that the Company sells advertising on and was launched in August 2006. The network is unique as it syndicates the Company's popular advertorial unit and has developed proprietary technology to automatically adapt to the look and feel of the partner's websites. This network has allowed the Company to quickly grow in overall unique users and advertising impressions relatively quickly by leveraging existing website's traffic and giving the Company access to larger advertisers and campaign buys due to the increased reach. This is a powerful tool for advertisers as it allows them to make a single advertising buy and increase their reach to the targeted LOHAS demographic while having a single point of contact to purchase and manage their campaigns, effectively lowering their administrative costs.
