Video Action Sports is a full service video distribution company that specializes in action sports content. They feature the biggest names in film and video as well as quite a few up and coming producers who are helping to define the progression in their sports and in videography itself.

As road cycling gained in popularity in the US, a national criterion event was started in San Luis Obispo, CA., home of California Polytechnic University. The founder Jeff Reynolds, an avid cyclist and a student at CalPoly, filmed the races and looked to find distribution for this exciting event. After being discouraged by the available distribution channels Jeff and some friends started Video Action Sports in 1988 and began distributing their video as well as films from World Cycling Productions and Warren Miller. Over the years the product line and number of sport categories has expanded significantly to over 2000 titles and almost 500 producers, making VAS the worlds leading distributor of Action Sports DVDs and Videos.

As the popularity of Extreme Sports grew VAS became a key member in helping to get the biggest names in extreme sports into large national sporting goods chains as well as mainstream video retailers. Today VAS is committed to the core market with top quality videos that push the envelope of production techniques, camera angles and insane lines and tricks. VAS is poised to help a new generation of film makers carve their niche in the video market by utilizing the latest recording, editing and authoring technologies, such as HDTV to create even more awe-inspiring films.
